Lol, it's funny, when you think about the word "beautiful" Should it really be pronounced "botiful"? And it's funny how it means "good-looking-full. XD

Is the 'w' pronounced as a 'v'? I've met and/or heard of a few Russian folk who have v's and w's in their names, ie. Ms. Nowak, Ivanka, etc., and pronounce the two letters opposite to one another. Is this true to your name?

Yes, in Polish we spell W like English V. V is a sound called Fau and it's pronounced almost the same as W (little more F).
Some people forget the difference and they say Vat instead What
