Lots of rain brought me a new experience.
Water in my trunk.
I've been driving for 46 or so year and never experienced this.
Saturday I'm getting the trunk gasket checked out. that's just a guess.

- my vehicle going from solid dark green to green-with-yellow-streaks-and-dots.
- Wind! More wonderful, fog-cooled, slightly wet wind!
- arthropods, everywhere. They've got about another month to grow, eat, and mate before the crushing dry heat hits. Including...
- a giant 7 cm Titiotus spider in the bathroom at 3 am.

(Not our actual specimen, but really close. Just imagine it being 2 to 2.5 inches long when the legs are stretched out.
First thing my older child said when she saw it in a jar this morning was, "Awwwwww!".)
