I haven't done a lot today really. I've mowed the lawn, walked the dog, fed the kid and spent the rest of the day continuing to learn how to play my guitars, my latest obsession.

I put together some storage cubes and I also put up a baby gate. Yes, you heard me, a baby gate. Waldo needs to be kept away from my bedroom door or he'll meow so loud I won't be able to sleep.

I took a phone call at 8 a.m., and then went to the staffing agency who had called to complete their application.

I managed to cheer up slightly after my psychologist said I should live up to my own standards instead of trying to live up to other people's standards. She said these 75 hour weeks are bad for my health. I said if other people can handle 100 hour weeks I should be able to handle 75 hour weeks. She said I shouldn't keep trying to live my life based on what other people can do.

It took me four+ years to learn that lesson. I kept trying to please people [mostly my mum] and make them happy, often sacrificing my own wellbeing as a result. I'm trying to learn what I want, what truly brings me joy.
