I gets real cold, the snow just pours down, and i cant think of one
single thing i look forward to :) not one! hehe gotta get out of here,
i have showeled way to much snow already as it is, i`ve done my part! :)

If it was winter all over, i wouldn`t think of it. But i happen to know theres
places with summer all year around, and that makes the winter seem like
such a huuge waste, whats the point... *sigh* :)

Maybe if you still a crate of salt you can just cover your propity in it and you wont have to do anything, but might cause some enviromental damage. What about christmass, is that in winter for you, that could be fun. This winter I got a couple of realy warm jackets and that made it better.

The terrain where i live have these "pockets" that get really really cold, while
its a little warmer in the areas around

Oh god no, the salt would off my plants when spring arrives probably :)
so i showel, good training

Christmas here is the classic pic you see on postcards, lots of snow everywhere,
and mooses and such desperatly digging the snow to find food
very christmas-y indeed. But i have seen that every year for 31 years, so its
not anything i notice anymore really

I would love to celcebrate christmas on a warm beach....oh sounds so nice..
Guess we`re pretty much opposite :)

Holy s**t now that is cold, well maybe you can curl up with your pets, I probably would not leave the house. How can it be that low, that sounds like below antartic. Our Christmasses are hot, it is not an uncommon idea of beach barbecue in the back yard, having sausages, seafood and some rice. Though for some reason glowing snow men, reindeer and other references to winter is part of decorations.

I know, it can get freakisly cold here some days. I stay inside
wih my fireplace and wood :) dont leave the house unless i
absolutely have to. If i didnt have a car, i would not be living
here in the wintertime think.

""beach barbecue in the back yard, having sausages, seafood and some rice"""
now that sounds like a heavenly christmas :D niiiiice

Think the record for this area is a staggering -48 degrees celsius sometime
back in the 1980`s 8O thats cold!!

But, we have been getting milder temps and less snow the latest years..
maybe its turning. When i was a kid, there always was piles of snow reaching
up to 3 meters and more everywhere (from the snowshowling), lots and lots of
snow. Not like that anymore. Last winter had very little snow

One of my favourite snow-games as a kid was a little insane when i think of it
now.. :) i hid in the ditch along side the road and then the huge machines came,
clearing the road of snow, throwing it to the side, on top of me!! :D that just
wasn`t very safe was it... but oboy the fun i had, did it over and over again hehe
for some reason i found it hillarious to be burried deep in the snow :) always managed
to dig out, obviously, since i`m writing this

Say thank you to global warming, and prey to that big ozone hole in the sky, maybe a few offerings. I can see now why you like to go outside when it is nice weather, but you rather having that heat then that cold, at least you can go out side when it is hot.

A story from my childhood, running around the frozen snowcovered
countryside, getting into trouble..and sometimes icy water

One day i`m running along having the time of my life, just running
and looking around. For some reason i start to run down a frozen river,
notice a area in front of me that looks a little weird, uneven, but think;
"what the hell, i`ll just jump over it". That was a real bad decition, because
the uneven things i were seeing, was holes in the ice covered by freshly
fallen snow :x doh

So of course i fall through a hole into the river, bang my head and arm on
a rock and find myself thinking "what the hell just happened..?" while feeling
myself freezing up in the oh so cold water. Got up, found the hole and got
out but holy crap, i got real scared when it was over, a little to close for
comfort. So of course, same thing happened 1 month later, i went through the
ice again, this time on a lake :) i didnt say i was a smart kid! hehe but one
lucky bastard.

You dont know what cold is until you`ve been swiming in water holding 0 to 1
degrees celsius :) thats cooooooooooooold, real cold, you can actually feel
the life beeing sucked out of you second by second

Something that feels really good, for some reason, is to sit in a really hot sauna
and then run naked outside into -15 degrees and roll around in the snow. Sounds harsh
and nasty but its actually quite a good feeling, have to hurry back in after a few minutes
though :) (nope, dont get sick from that, it tuffens the immunesystem) That might be
one thing i like about winter, the sauna and snowbading

I had trouble keeping up with the words, accents not quite right, Is that like people think we sound like that or is it a joke. Hey I tell you a good Ausie to look up look up Dame Edna, I wonder what you think of this ambasoder of Australia.
