I don't care if you have a tempermental personality.

Come to Portland. You'll have a hell of a good time, once the
Occupy Portland movement goes away.

I'd like to meet everybody who is proud of my for going back to being the real CockneyRebel who likes the 60s, two years ago this autumn. I'd like to have some people who would want to celebrate with me instead of wishing that I was still a Punk Rocker. There! I've said it.

A lot of different members. Certainly my fellow Canadians like hypersexian, Master_Pedant, phil777. Esther and Emlion for sure, and of course my current owner OSB and lots of the other UKers I am quite fond of

When you say the word 'beverage' I am reminded of this article by Jeremy Clarkson (http://my-nepenthe.blogspot.com/2006/02/worst-word-in-language.html) - WARNING: not for humourless PC wallahs.

But yeah, a British real ale pub or a Canadian beerhouse? I like the old man's type pubs, with pork scratchings on the bar and the fresh dark mild just waiting to be drunk.

Since reading that article a while back I've tried to avoid using terms like "yourself" and "at all". It's as if Clarkson governs the way I go about my day

lol great article! beverage is a common local word for beer here, used in a mock-serious way. it's a term we reserve for an alcoholic bevvie only (do you use that word?). we also say "brewski" lol

we have a great place called Brewster's which makes barleywine nommmmmm.

a real ale pub would be awesome.

The only people who use the word 'bevvy' in Britain are Scousers and they can be excused as they live in their own universe.

Barley wine is disgusting, horrid stuff! Here, I have a bottle of BrewDog Devine Rebel, a 12.1% barley wine if you want it.

Real ale pubs are rarer than rocking horse dung in Canada. Get yourself over here and we can go to York or Sheffield - some lovely real ale pubs in those two cities. :)
