I'm not proving anything to anybody anymore. I've stopped doing that three years ago, this coming week. I am as I present myself on WP and I'll be this way until I'm old and grey. What you see, is what you get. :)

Even though sometimes I act like I don't care about anime anymore, deep down, I really do. Anime has been a big part of my life ever since I was a child, and it probably always will be. ^_^

I acted as though I didn't care about the music of The British Invasion at the ages 17 and 18 to get my high school bullies off my back. The way I did that, was by pretending to be a hippie.

I am sufficiently neurotic and self-obsessed that I can't completely dismiss the idea that 80% of the negative messages in the "send an anonymous message to another member" thread are directed at me :(

I know it can't be true, I'm not that important and I don't *think* I am that contentious but I just can't shake off the idea that I am disliked by all :/

Whenever the official Dark Shadows Facebook page makes an update about the character of Dr. Julia Hoffman, I always make references to the fact that I wish she could be my doctor :wink: (I seriously have the hots for her, in case you couldn't tell). I don't think anyone who sees my comments knows I'm female though, since I go by "Alex" and I have a short haircut. :)
