I can't cope with the sound of a violin.

I play the violin and have participated in our village concerts. The sound used to be unbearable and still is sometimes, but it's growing on me now.

it fascinates me that you play an instrument whose sound you don't fully love. what do you think of the sound an Er Hu [Cantonese folk violin] or a Hardanger fiddle [Norwegian folk violin]?

I love their sounds, but especially the Norwegian folk violin. It produces such a beautiful sound, if played well. The sounds from violins upset my ears and can make me feel sick to my stomach, but I don't want to miss out on playing an instrument I love so I keep at it. Some days the sound is so bad that I'm gritting my teeth and wincing while I play, but I'm hoping I can get over this in the end. I play the violin well but there's room for improvement.

That's really cool Faith! :)

The only real talent I have is cooking. I'm not really a fancy chef but I can learn to cook almost anything. A lot of people really like my baked chicken and fried porkchops :chef:
