Let me see if I can anylise the paintings. The bottom one I think is about being traped and not having any power. And the ther one, the only thing I think I can see is that his pallet has one couler, maybe only looking at the world a certain way.

The top one could be him looking at a
finished painting (the wiewer), his pallet
is empty because he have used all the
paint - but the cloth is clean suggesting
he hasn`t started yet

Maybe it is the fact that his paintings are suposed to be an intimate side of him, and the fact that people see his bare feelings.
