It is highly inappropriate of me to have reacted like this but I was in my favourite bookstore in town this afternoon, top floor with just the assistant and another browser wandering around. Within my peripheral hearing the other person randomly asks the worker about a book and they just hit it off, have a great conversation like total strangers can become best friends in the blink of an eye.
I was left I suppose, with a glaringly obvious reminder of my own inadequacies.
