not creepy. i welcome it.

well, i'm landing in guadalajara, then being taken to a town by lake chapala, a few hours away. my grandmother lives there.

i won't be stuffing gloves into my shoes to keep my feet un-frostbitten there...unlike certain other european countries.

I'm having a highly productive, literary day [literally]. I love puns.

Went to the library. I just got back now I am making lunch.

Sounds silly in text, but regarding the fact I almost never look people in the eye, I looked someone in the eye today. It was really nerve-wracking for the whole 2 seconds of eye contact given, but I smiled at them too. They're a barrister working at the cafe I always visit with my parents on saturdays, and make the most badass latte I've ever tasted. When in that place I'm constantly worried I say 'thanks' to them too quickly or too quietly and they won't notice due to me looking anywhere but at their faces.

Finished the book I was reading. Though I got lost in it and thus did not eat lunch until 3:15 this afternoon. I was virtually sick by the time I ate.

Got a great book about 70s cars and British road culture and a compilation of early electronic music

The fact that I'm now brave enough to do new things on WP. I was posting in PPR in October, November and December last year. I'm also trying out four different avatar themes instead of showing everyone on WP just one side of me. If only I was this spontaneous in real life.

I've not been here too long so I don't have any set themes yet. I'm really into Sinclair stuff at the moment and in particular the company's flops, hence the literally exploding Sinclair Black Watch in my avatar. Not to mention the name reminds me of the Scottish army regiment and then of Highland dress, another minor special interest of mine.

Breakfast and coffee

My weekend was full and successful, with completed shopping, social engagements and work.

Despite so much sleep, I feel okay about this being another lazy day.

Toys

My cousin is doing better, and hopefully going home from the hospital on Friday.

Successfully dyed my roots (screw my horrible natural hair colour!) and for once didn't also dye my face, my ears, my nose and just about everything else.
