Have you checked their meaning of "resident"?
Where I live, a resident does not have citizenship, and you probably do.
Good luck, don't give up.

They never asked me to prove citizenship, I may have the first time I went to the school a few years back... I am just trying to pay in state tuition for residents. I provided all documentation they requested, plus some. I even have a letter from the federal government. The only explanation I was given was, "Documents not 12 months". I am not sure what they mean by that, when I proved I used the same address for over 3 years. That more then satisfies my states legal definition for resident.
Maybe they screwed something up when they processed things & think the problem is on your end instead of there's. You may need some kind of advocate or specialist to fignt them.

It's getting annoying... I have complied, in accordance to there policy determined within Valencia's Residency Form. I have produced multiple documents they requested and some I volunteered in accordance of 1009.21. But everything has been rejected by admissions as not "12 months", but so far I have proved over 3 years. Only a few months shy from my last term I attended with the school.

I am preparing to argue state statue 1009.25 when I meet with an admissions supervisor. I am currently working with my therapist on preparing supporting documents. If I have no success, I will contact my city commissioner and work from there.

Someone posted an article on WikiHow on how to pretend to be ret*d. They even showed a picture of cartoon people called "Autism Buddies" and mentioned stereotypes such as being into Spongebob. They claimed they were not joking and it was a guide of friend of theirs came up with. I told them their "friend" was ableist and a troll and they were, too, and I was offended by their showing stereotypes of autistic people. And then they replied that "ret*d" was an accurate word and that I need to educate myself and maybe I'm the one who is ableist, and that severe autism and mental retardation are pretty much the same.

:( :(

Why are we constantly surrounded by losers? And why do these losers nearly always "win?"

I was tired this morning but decided to go for a walk with my mum and sister at the track. By the last lap, I was barely mobile and my mother forced me to walk it, theb literally took my arm and started pulling me forward. She then asked me what I would do if there were $200 at the end of the lap, and 30 seconds to get there. I responded that I would walk straight across the track instead of in the lines.

I won't be going back with her, so I've got that going for me.

My nan's cat passed away, vets found an inoperable tumour. He was originally a stray my grandparents took in, very shy but cuddly when he felt comfortable.

I'm still crying over the death of my dog. The other thing that upset me today is my dad's drinking. He was so drunk that he sat in my mum's spot at the kitchen table. Mum asked, "Where do you usually sit?" My dad answered, "Here." He also asked me 20 questions. Where do you eat when you go out? How many people are usually in the group? I saw you and Barb walking down Fraser Hwy one day. I was thinking, "Please don't bring up the helmet with mum at the table." He also tranced into the spare bedroom, saying "I think you should scatter Chico's ashes in a spot outside in the yard. I think it would be wrong for you to keep the ashes in the urn and take them to your apartment." I hope he comes to his senses when he wakes up tomorrow morning and realize the things he's asked and said to me. He's now in the living room and he's only turned the cable box instead of turning the TV off as well, so there's a blue glow cast across the room. He's up now and watching TV again.

Visiting with mom... She ran out of gas on the way up to getting coffee. So I walked up to the station and had to pay $14 for an overpriced gas can.

Hugs for crystaltermination and CockneyRebel as they remember beloved pets. Today is the 19th anniversary of the birth of my three kitty brothers-Peter, Paul and Prince. I miss them a lot. Peter lived the longest, passing away last year at age eighteen. Those special pets leave pawprints on our hearts.

My sympathies and hugs go out to everyone who has lost a beloved pet.

I had my cat, Miss Kitty, for about 15 or 16 years but I had to give her away in February of 2016 because she was very sickly and kept scratching/biting my mom and drawing blood. Thankfully she was adopted pretty much immediately, so I hope that Miss Kitty is having/had a peaceful time at her new home.

I finally got a meeting with the Assistant Director, Admissions & Records from East campus and another director from a different campus... Will be interesting to see how this goes. I have a feeling it's going to be very uncomfortable, but it needs to be done.
