great work. You're off to a great start. A couple of things you can do to make it even better; scaling (much closer on the last pic) and lighting angles. I do a lot of compositing of backgrounds in one package, and figures in another (Bryce and Poser, if anyone cares....

The trick is to observe the lighting color, intensity, and angle, and match that to the (in your case) topmost layer with your figure to the background. You've gone a long way towards that, keep up the good work.

If I had an hour to spare (well, I do, but dont feel like getting into it =P) i'd do more to match the omni lighting of Al's pics with the directional + dawn/dusk lighting of the plane shot.
I was tempted to pop open c4d to work out some lighting, but there is always humor in pure photoshop.

These are awesome pics. Anyone else wants to be in them?
