I don't think I'm a sloppy eater in the sense that I'm not a careful eater, since I've always tried to be neat while eating; but in the sense that I can drop and spill things with my clumsy fingers like there's no tomorrow, I have been called a "sloppy eater" quite a few times.

I eat fast, with little to no mess. AND without indigestion ;)

Ah, my middle child. I think it is related to poor muscle tone around the mouth, which is tied to the speech issues. Not only his clothing, but the surroundings of where he has eaten, so we try to keep eating in the kitchen.

That sounds about right ^ I'm often surprised when food falls on me because I thought it was in my mouth.

Yup...I rarely eat a meal without spilling something on myself.

I think I spill because of missing bottom teeth. I will be glad when the dentist fixes things up for me! OTOH I never thought of blaming this on poor coordination skills.

I hate eating in public, unless somebody has worse problems than I do. :)

No, I get more dirt and grass stains on my clothes.
I'm a neat eater and will always eat leaning over the table.
My mum is so messy and doesn't bother to use a table. If I try to get her to eat at the table she tells me to not tell her what to do in her own house.

I am a fairly messy eater..although I only get crumbs and such on the table and some on my shirt once in a while.I mostly have issues with hotdogs, hamburgers, hotwings, etc.I have a tendancy to lick my fingers when eating messy food, and have gotten flack for that every now and then whem Im at my parents house......

Westerner days in Red Deer on Wednesday is going to be fun...Im gonna wear a bandana around my neck so when I do make a mess from a hotdog or something, I won't get it on my shirt.People will think its just a fashion thing and won't notice it's main function as being a bib so I don't mess all over my clothes.

When I was a kid I was banned from eating in the living room with all the other kids because the adults were afraid I might spill something, so I had to eat at the table by myself.

Fun memories!

Occasionally I'll get an escapee rice bubble. I rarely eat at the table, preferring to eat in my room- unless I'm eating at my computer.

You can find out what I have been eating simply by looking at my clothes (and beard).
