I'd change it, the only problem is that I don't know to what.

If I ever "came out of the closet", so to speak, I'd probably change my handle to the same one I use almost everywhere else.

I don't see that happening any time soon, though.

It's very unlikely that I would change my nickname because it is my rabbit's nickname (she's called Jenifer which mutated into 'Jennybean' and then 'Jellybean') but if I was really upset when she dies I might want to change it... but then again it could be like a tribute... :albino:

I don't like to tell people what my real name is, because it's strange and very old (from the time of the vikings). I feel embarrassed of my real name.

Kenjuudo is japanese and means "the way of the pistol" and is also childish, like most of my pseudonyms; Shiva_C, Beast, PushZ, Ololiuqui, eXceptION and teatime.

But I wouldn't change it, because it's not that much of a big deal to me. Also, people know me by Kenjuudo at this time, so it would only raise confusions.

i would never change my username or avatar.

i started as B9 and i will finish as B9.
some people change their avatars, and i then forget who they are, and i do not associate all their previous posts with the new avatar.
if they change ther user name as well, then it is like erasing all that they have established in my mind.

my robot avatar is easily recognizable, and gives people the option of either scrolling by what they think is rubbish (from experience), or reading what i say because they remember other posts they found interesting by me.

i am sure there are people who recognize my avatar and just think "oh yeah B9...i will scroll past that one". if i changed my name and avatar, they would probably read my stuff and get mad all over again.

also, the few people who like my posts (if there are any) may not read my new posts if i posted them under a different avatar and username.

"B9" is the model release of the type of robot in my avatar, and also connotes a meaning of "benign" which means not malignant. my posts are not designed to influence or intertwine with any one elses mindsets.

they are benign utterances.

I'm not sure. If I changed my username, it would be to Phoneutria_Fera, because I find those spiders fascinating.

you have a cool nickname!

changelling is a all-but forgotten insult up here, only a FEW braniacs have been witty enough to use it in my presence, and it always cracks me up

"you changelling!" "what the... :I"

I would. I have another username I use everywhere. But since I have not yet come clean everywhere I chose this username instead. I just don't feel "at home" with it. :(

Out of several different user names in different places, this one seemed to say it wanted to be used here.
It says a little about where I've been and what's important to me in nature. Also important are the oceans and rivers - so many people don't realize their intertwinement in human life and welfare -but there's only so much one can squeeze into a username.

It also has elements of my real name hidden it.

Yes, sometimes what seemed fitting then, or was all one could come up with at the moment, no longer is comfortable, it just doesn't 'fit' one's current state of being and a better thing arises into being.

Odd Finn, great sig line :D

Yes, I would change it.
When I first created my username I thought it was just my log-in name and NOT the name that would be posted publicly with my every post. I thought that I could choose a different posting name but when I found out that the same name was used for posting and logging in (unlike another website i'm a member of) I was really annoyed.
I would change it to anything different, I just regret using my real name. Maybe "TheVeggienator" (because i'm a vegetarian and like the terminator movies).

I like my username. Its the same user name I used for almost five years on various websites. It's basically my online identity and who I am.

No, absolutely not.

Unless of course someone offered me a sum of money to do so .....
