Thanks for all the replys (happy to see I'm not the only cat lover!)! And Echo, that link was funny! I already thought cats were autistic. :) I should read that book, sounds interesting.

No wonder autistics like cats; since cats are autistic too! http://www.spacehost.us/~aliki/autism/autiecats.html

(c) stereotyped and repetitive use of language or idiosyncratic language:
All cats with speech perseverate on the word "meow" and its variations.

the good one! :)

I've seen a cat truly diagnosed as autistic once. It was always sitting on the upper kitchen cupboards, apparently. I stood for a long time looking just past it, while it looked just past me. That was really cool.

that's really weird cat :)

I love cats, I always have. I have a cat called Dude even though she's a girl! I love her!!

I read somewhere once that dogs love you because they have been domesticated but cats love you because they choose to. I don't know whether there is any truth in this but I like to think so. :)

of course you do

Cats are spiritual creatures that uses their ears like radar get messages from fairies who are helping humanity evolve to the next level of evolution.

Well the truth is that while fairies is a bit much, Aspies are cat like while NTs are dog like. I once read on www.msnbc.com that Dogs have been with people so long that they effected our evolutions. There no cases of primates being territorial like dogs , except for us.

You know, I read something very similar to this before, and I still believe it's the best description of AS I have ever come across. It was something like:

"Having Asperger's is like being a cat in a world where everyone else is a dog."

I believe cats are very open to certian things and vibes.

No offence intended to anyones beliefs here, but I can see why cats have been symbolised through the years as familiars or powerful and worshipped creatures.

I agree, hale_bopp.

The reason my avatar is a lynx is because I see it as my totem.

The lynx symbolizes silence, observance, and keeping secrets. She is the keeper of hidden truths.

The tufts at the tips of a lynx's ears were believed to be recievers of "otherwordly" transmissions, and there is a myth which says that the lynx stole wendigo's eyes, and that is why she sees things others can not.

My cats keep their own journal on my blog. they can't write, but i speak Cattese and they dictate to me. :D

We've had a stray cat come sneaking around our house, trying to get some food. Three times dad has had to chase it out of the garage, and Sonny went into a hissy fit when they saw each other. if it came to fighting, though, Sonny would win. he's bigger, fatter, and stronger. I want to adopt the cat, or at least keep it so we can give it away to a friend, but we already have two cats. i might have a full-blown asthma atack if we added one more, and it is already apparent that him and Sonny cant stand the sight of each other. Hpoefully a catless, nice, loving family will take him in. But we cant, so i wish him the best of luck (meerow) and if he gets in my garage one more time i swear i'm gonna get my hiking pole (Yow! *hiss*) Sayonara, everyone.
