I donæt think that's a problem, most of the main exclusive titles are released here, and if you can't get them, ebay or amazon them

Ireland.

But there are a lot of places I would love to travel to.

Scandanavia is pretty good for retro-gaming. I'm always buying Game Gear games from Sweden. The Commodore forums are full of members from Sweden, Norway, Finland et al. and some of them have been a tremendous help to me. They're good people.

I agree.

Most of the pen pals I've made online are from the regions in Scandinavia and a lot of them seem like nice ppl.

I'd go to America, :) (I've been wanting to live there for a long time) and if I couldn't, then I'd go to Canada! :P :) :D

Well, I am a dual national of Canada and the UK. But I doubt very much that I would return to the UK to live.

In addition to living in five different provinces in Canada, I have had the privilege to have diplomatic postings in Hongkong, Beijing and New York. Wonderful places, all, but I wouldn't want to live there. As for the other wonderful places on earth, again, I love to visit them, but they do not (with the exception of New Zealand) feel like home.

On balance, I would likely go to Vermont. Culturally, it is as close to Canada as I am likely to find, and politically Vermonters are willing to elect socialists, so I won't feel too excluded. New Zealand would likely be a second choice.

But being cut off from Canada would distress me terribly. We are far from perfect, but I can imagine no where else I would choose to live.

Home but not native land topic

Me, too. But if I was given an ultimatum, I would choose Ireland first, then a second choice would be Sweden. I do not like tropical countries. If I went to France I would ask to go live on St. Pierre Miquelon Island, so I could be close to Canada. I would also take Vermont, though, as it is close to Quebec. (I would need to brush up on la francais.)

Ireland or Sweden for me.
Although I am in England, part of the uk, Ireland counts as another country to me.

Ireland is another country. Only Northern Ireland is part of the UK.

I'm surprised to see so many here that seems to feel for their country. I thought most of us had no attachment to patriotism and things like that. I've never been proud of being Norwegian, and I have no reason to since
a) Norway su**s and b) I never chose to be born here. Being proud to accidentally having been born within one artificial border is beyond my comprehension.

I've been to the US and UK on a couple of occasions and every time it felt like such a let down to go back here. I did not have the same reaction when visiting other places in Norway and Denmark. I'd swap for the opportunities there anytime.

On another note: bdhkhsfgk, thanks heaven for amazon (and the like)! I just wish the rate of customs duty were a little higher than 200 NOK (ca 20 GBP), so it'd be easier to buy a couple of games a time even if they're new. I wonder what the limits are other places?

for me, because of my girlfriend, it would have to be the United States, can only see one issue with that, they drive on the wrong side of the road and have the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car... yikes!

In the countries you would like to live, you probably won't be able to afford as much money as you can in scandinavia in most countries, Norway has got almost everything you would want in a life, freedom, beautiful scenery, welfare-payment........ So why do you think it sucks?

The only thing that's bad about it is that it doesn't have schools for people with AS, something Sweden and Denmark has, so you can easily tell that I would love to live in Sweden if given the choice, Sweden has better life quality than Denmark, it's only an inch from that one in Norway, they have LOVELY candy, I often visit Sweden to fill bags with "Løsgodis" 8)
