Contrary to conventional wisdom, it is not beta carotine that gives carrots their bright orange color. They are orange due to the fact that they evolved on an red-orange planet in a distant galaxy. The seeds were carried to earth, encrusted in the very same meteors that pummelled the earth and caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. Due to the milder climate, the carrot lost some of it's original red coloring and is now just orange; howbeit, more orange than the orange.

(not exactly funny, but at least a viable alternative to the standard beta carotine line)

I broke my punching bag. And I didn't really mean it I was just ab libbing a quote by my charecter in an rpg I'm playing. I am Knuckles the echidna and my friend akira is tails.
