yep, I think for kids who live in the world of 'anything is possible' it's great. when you grow up and the myths die, it's like, all about money and marketing. It is fun to be around kids who still have those magical beliefs. Personally i chose to work all day yesterday.

I've had a very nice Christmas but not much in the way of tradition - I'm in a foreign city and I have only done two Christmassy things, I went to a church service on Christmas Eve (in a language I don't understand at all) and then I was given and ate a chocolate santa. That was nice though. Christmas Day I went to a museum and to the movies, it was great.

It's the first time I've travelled to a non-English-speaking country (I did go to French-speaking Canada but I didn't know they didn't like to speak English until I got there) and it's been a very good experience.
