I used to live in Belgium, and studied for a bit in the UK.

Keep looking for air tickets, sometimes, especially in this economy, you can find steals.

Hostels are always cheap, and trains are also cheap.

If you get cheap airfare, stay in hostels, travel by train, and fix your own meals, you can travel in Europe for pretty cheap.

I've always wanted to fly back and hike Hadrian's Wall and Offa's Dyke (I'm partial to Wales). Also, Belgium is really awesome.

Whoa Monkey, you live in Stoke? I studied at Keele University (and ended up a Stoke City FC fan).

I wish. I'd love to visit Italy. Spain, too, especially the provinces of Aragon and Castile and Leon. I'd love to see Granada. I would also visit France, and see Versailles. I would go to Poland. Russia, or the part of Russia that's in Europe, like St.Petersburg. That is still Europe, right? England, and visit Platform 9 and 3/4.

I live in England if that counts, which it probably doesn't! I went to Greece , an island of Greece actually called Skiathos. We never had a problem with being understood, most of the locals spoke some English, and all the waiters etc. Though food there is expensive! For one meal for four it was always over £60! And another tip, if your in Greece, for gods sake don't get a taxi that is a really fast car (we did, that guy should not be allowed to drive!)

I went to Mexico when I was nine and England (twice techinically), Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and France when I was twelve. The first one was a surprise trip and the second was with a program called People to People Student Ambassador Program. I was the only one selected in my grade in my school distrct for it (and there were over a thousand of us). Then we had to pass the interviews for it and have a few thousand dollars to pay for it. Not bad for someone that lived in an inner-city school district!
