pepperoni and pepperd turkey, with a thick slab of jalapeno pepper cheese, with more jalapenos ontop, and a extra dusting of pepper, and oregano.
Heated for a few seconds inorder to melt the cheese :chef:
My parents dont like me to use the stove or oven (they are sort of off limits to me), so I usually use the microwave or a sandwach maker and experiment with different combinations

I call them "crusty bun sandwiches" because that's what my mom called them, although she didn't put as much stuff on hers as I put on mine.

There's a particular kind of round bun (or roll, depending on where you live) you can get that has a medium-hard crust and the inside is soft and chewy. Saw one in half with a serrated knife. Spread butter on both halves. On the bottom half, stack a slice of four or five different kinds of deli meat, like roast beef, ham, pastrami, salami, bologna, corned beef, etc., putting some yellow mustard between two of the slices. Add a slice of medium cheddar cheese, a slice of onion, a slice of tomato, a shake of salt and ground pepper, some lettuce, and put the top on. Eat with a kosher deli pickle.

My wife says that these are her favorite. She calls me the King of Sandwiches.

Man, now I'm all hungry!

I like Reubens, Philly Cheesesteaks, and Italian subs.

Thanks for reminding me, Tim. My other favorite sandwich is the Reuben. I'll try anybody's Reuben, and they're often disappointing. The best one I've ever had was at the Marietta Diner in Marietta, Georgia, which is a suburb just north of Atlanta.

The kind with bread. I dont get to eat bread anymore and I do miss it sometimes, especially when it comes to sandwiches. I used to love sandwiches and bagels. Now I guess I like chicken lettuce wraps with homemade ranch dressing.

Get out of my head... I would say everything that she said, except for the homemade ranch dressing. I have never made my own ranch dressing, but that sounds interesting.

I am guessing that is supposed to read "Turkey and swiss", unless you like vista on your sandwich

Your best Reuben was HERE? If I only ate red meat I'd make someone drive me up to Marietta (since as you know Cobb county resists MARTA) to try one.

An Italian or a pastrami on rye would be my favorite, except I don't eat red meat, so although I love a chicken philly, I'd have to say a grilled marinated portobello mushroom with roasted red peppers, veggies, and some sort of aioli. On a tangy bread like sourdough or rye.

Yeah, the best Reuben I've had was there. Second to that one was one I had in Los Angeles at a place whose name I can't remember. All the rest left something to be desired, in comparison.

I recommend that you go there anyway, and have something that doesn't have red meat in it. It is a great, great restaurant, and not expensive. We saw a feature on it on TV, so when we were going to Atlanta, we made sure to go to Marietta, too.

Grilled portabello mushrooms on lightly-toasted (or grilled) rye bread with Swiss cheese, baby spinach, tomatoes, and cucumbers with honey mustard dressing.

Also makes a great burger if you use a portabello mushroom cap and wheat buns.
