They're good for making pizzas and bloody marys I suppose. But raw ... yuck.

Who said anything about raw? Tomotoes are my favorite because they are so misunderstood, and I guess I identify with that.

But if the question were poised differently like "What's your favorite fruit to eat?" then I would undoubtedly say pineapples.

bananas, grapes, and oranges. I sometimes go for the occasional peach, plum or nectarine.

Whatever is in season and fresh.

When I was a kid, you could get good fruit. Now, I live in California, which has a whole lot of agriculture, and yet haven't been able to find a decent piece of fruit in ages. At the stores I have access to, everything seems to have been kicked all the way from New Zealand. I've pretty much given up on fresh fruit, because I hate spending a bunch of money only to bite into a mushy/mealy pear, or a dry orange.

There's nothing like a good nectarine, though. Assuming good quality, freshness, and ripeness, I suppose I'd choose nectarines (or peaches).

Well, as a fruit-nutter here, it's hard to choose a favourite but.... I absolutely adore freshly picked bilberries.

Also, I love good (in order of intake)(+/-); orange, apple, pear, pine apple, lychee, peach.... um, and other fruit like; prunes, melon, grapes, etc....

Oh, and lets not forget about lemons of course.... twenty (or so) drops in a bottle of bottled water.... um, keeps the doctor away?

(or something)

1. nectarines/peaches. i peel them and they are slippery and messy but their taste is the best of all fruit
2 passionfruit.
3 green seedless grapes (thompson)
4 red seedless grapes.
5 fresh blackcurrants (not dried)
6. strawberries, however it is often that i get tasteless ones.
7. sugar melon (round sweeter watermelons)

i do not like bananas or pineapples or apricots or plums.

i would like to try figs but i can not overcome my aversion to the fact that they require wasps to crawl into them to pollinate them. then they lay their eggs and die inside the fig which digests it. then the grubs live in the figs and....well i will not eat figs.
