I once had a collection of battle cops. And would you believe this was actually BEFORE James's bottle cap collection was even mentioned? I also collect half dollars. Everytime I get one, I never spend it. I'm not sure how much money I have in half dollars.

When I was a kid I used to collect old Polish coins, little porcelain dolls and Donald Duck comic books :)

Yes, I steal shoes from fish. Aren't I mean? They have to walk home barefoot, muhahaha.

LOL...I collect those too!
I collect nesting dolls. I also get excited playing with them and lining them up and putting them back together. I plan to start a collections when my younger kids get a little older of old medical, surgical equipment. I get pretty obsessed with looking at stuff on ebay. I especially like the old glass syringes and needle kits. Not too long ago they had an old leather doctors bag on ebay and I wanted it so bad but my husband wouldnt let me buy it, strangely enough I wanted to smell it more than anything. Good thing I have him around or Id probably buy all sorts of otherwise useless things.

Oh! I forgot about aches and pains...you certainly collect your fair share in the army. As for the doctor's bag...I'd want to buy it to smell it as well. One fountain pen that I saw recently on the internet was going for around 20 to 25 thousand dollars. Yep!
You heard me right. I have also started my own tattoo collection (3 so far).

Anything to do, with The Kinks. Most oldies fans scope for things related to Elvis, or The Beatles.

I know what you mean about the Elvis and Beatles stuff. I tend to lean more towards the Monkees, Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, Gene Chandler, Ben E. King, The Diamonds, and groups like that. While Elvis and The Beatles were great entertainers, they were over-rated, and often shadowed groups that could have easily given them a run for their money. It seems that like a lot of people nowadays I like to collect/accumulate debt. I am still paying for my truck. I love to collect Irish Whistles (mainly in keys of D and C), and started my Uilleann Pipes collection recently as well.

Over the years, my wife and I have collected:
Rocks, minerals, etc
Coins
Shells
Books
Magazines about various special interests
Flying Discs (aka Frisbees)
Oriental cork sculpture
"Eggs" (made of various materials, often decorated)
Figurines representing various creatures including dragons, and gargoyles
Kaleidoscopes

I now realize we collect collections which now collect dust.

Bus transfers. I later found out that William James Sidis (failed child prodigy with the 300 IQ) collected them later in life and wrote a whole book on the subject.

Lawn gnomes. Starting when I was 14-16, my mom and sister get me at least one lawn gnome a year for my birthday or each time I graduate (high school, undergrad college, and soon grad school), and the occasional Christmas. I usually forget I have them, but every once in a while I'll snap to and realize "Holy crap, I'm surrounded by gnomes".
