If it was a busy road I just wouldn't walk down there. I don't trust the other drivers to not crash into me. I always think that they are going to purposely run me over if I hear them coming from behind me. If they are coming towards me it's not so bad.

I would walk against the traffic so I can see what's coming but obviously not in the middle of the road.
