On another forum I just accidently edited someone else's post when I was going to quote them :lmao:
And yes I do edit my posts a lot.

I go back and edit my posts, a lot. If I see a typo, I go back and edit it.

Are you admin or a mod there? I ask because I've accidently done that a few times at the site I admin...which can be really embarrassing.

And yes, I edit all the time. Sometimes I forget to create a post in my notepad first, and that's when I post the most mistakes. I don't catch errors as often for some reason when I type into the reply field, but sometimes it doesn't matter if I do it in my notepad first, and I still have to edit after posting. It seems the bad grammar, misspellings or missing/extra words are always more obvious after hitting "submit".

I've also deleted whole posts the next day because I went on about personal stuff I probably shouldn't have. That usually happens when I'm tired, which is when I have a tendency to ramble. I see it the next day and I feel shame like I'm sure some that go on benders do.

The other day I was writing the first post of a new thread that I was creating.

I was about to click the 'submit' button when I realized that I had been typing in a 'reply' page of a thread that was completely unrelated :!:

The kind of thing that perhaps Miggs would have done..........but not anymore

I'm a sloppy "Dude" and there is little neatness about me.

INTJ personality is interested in the results, and I don't care how I get there.

If standing on my head and planting flowers in my shoes would make something work - well then ........................

But I do go back and edit for grammar and spelling and even sometimes for clarification.

I tend to see things differently as I'm writing them than I do once it's finished. Everything I type is loaded with typos and omitted words, but I never see most of them until I submit, even when I proofread a few times. I don;t know if it is a form of dyslexia or not, but dyslexia is common in ASD.

Hence, I edit ALL the time.

Yes, me and my good friend decided to choose her as a moderator and yea, I've even happened to have nearly make that mistake a few times, always came close, good thing I actually do check my posts before I actually post.

As for me, I sometimes edit my posts, depending on the content and what needed changing?

Yeah I'm a mod. I had only just been given the promotion as well, and I cock it up

If I find a typo or something that doesn't make as much sense as I wanted it to, yes.

I just deleted something out of my post because I found what I said was irrelevant to the topic.

I "preview" my posts about fifty times, changing little things as needed, and then "submit" when I think they're done perfectly or when I get bored and just no longer care. But I often still end up editing them either way.

Edit: I actually meant to add that I sometimes mention that I've edited, but I usually don't mention it if it's something small or I think nobody would have read my initial post anyway. Only mentioned it this time because it was just too funny that I had to make an edit on my post in the edit thread. I wish I could say it was intentional but no, I'm just forgetful.

I also want to add that I only ever edit if I'm the last poster. I very rarely will edit once someone has posted after me.

(I've edited this post at least 4 times now... pathetic really. :? )

I don't spot the typos until I've submitted it, so 95 percent of posts I edit to correct the typos.

I wouldn't have so many typos if it didn't keep on missing out letters as I type. I don't miss out letters - the computer does, and I don't know why. It's so annoying!
