I watched that the first time last week actually. It was ok, a bit cheesy and naff in parts but the makeup is reeeaally good on most characters.
I like the main villain, he's cool:

Yeah and they made a TV series round about the time the old ones were being made, it turned out to be a total failure though. A bit like the 2001 film, everyone seems to hate it, true the new one is a bit sh***y but I only watched it because I wanted to see the cool prosthetics
. But the female chimps in the new one were terrible though. and Thade's dad looked like something out of wind in the willows.
