Lots and lots of Legos. I dunno but there's something about autistic people and legos, it was like a dream come true for me. Same with Hot Wheels toy cars.

Needless to say I've outgrown all of that stuff, but if there was one way to get my creative juices flowing as a wee boy, Legos would be my first pick.

Cause legos are AWESOME. I would still play with them. I only like them if I have the wheels included, too.

Peter Griffin loves em to but Lois only gives him mega blocks & they are NOT the same thing :x

I once did an essay on legos for my business class. It was the easiest thing I ever did.

DEATH TO ALL LEGOS KNOCK OFF BRANDS!! ! Legos is the first! Legos is the original! Such great plastic!

I liked cloth dolls and stuffed animals. They were soft and good for hugging. I loved my Powerpuff Girls dolls, Bubbles was my favorite because she was like me. Happy, sensitive, blonde hair, blue eyes and loves adorableness. :D

I loved remote controlled toys (I had wonderful tank) and construction toys. And puzzles.

There weren't too many store bought toys around in my family when I was a kid. We were resourceful kiddies and made hobby horses out of sticks and stuffed socks. Dress-ups from a box of rags was another game my siblings and I played together.

Most of the time we played with the horses (real ones) which I dreaded because I was the only one who couldn't seem to stay, balanced, on horse back. I would always fall off...meh. I hated playing games together with them anyway.

I have fond memories of the times I got to play by myself, with the coins in my money box. I didn't care how much money I had. It was the games I played with the coins that I enjoyed. I used to sort them and line them up and roll them and spin them. I still like coins in that strange kind of way. 8)

Wow, a lot of lego fans here!

* legos, especially the kits that had gears and universal joints and such
* tinker toys
* hot wheels & plastic track
* pellet gun
* sling shot
* train set (nothing fancy)
* computer, once I had one

The only ones I can think of that are close to "girly" were:

* stuffed green rabbit
* stuffed bean bag turtle
* other stuffed animals

But then it's not as if my parents would've bought me a barbie or a pink unicorn with glitter on it.

As far as poisoning (LOL), I've probably got above average levels of tin & lead from years of soldering since age 11. But not enough for poisoning (so far). Probably also have a lot of organic solvents dissolved in my flesh/brain. I loved watching plexi-glass (acrylic) dissolve in acetone. Exploding empty soda bottles with a can of ether and model rocket igniters was fun, too.

I dunno, I kind of always felt like that but there were no girls in the neighborhood when I was a kid. No sisters either, so there were no girls or "girl stuff" around at all.

Boom Balls?? (name?) we could throw them on the ground and they went boom and exploded – we were not allowed to play with them any longer when we figured out how to blow things up – I wonder if they were made the same way billiard balls used to be, those would sometimes explode during games

girdles and beans???
Errmmm.. In one place they had SUPER cool boy toys.. I am sure they were old when i played with them
But I don’t think they are called what I remember calling them – girdles and beans.. LMFAO that does not sound like a kids toy

red and blue cars and ran on batteries and connected from one building to another on metal train tracks like disney, another part had water tanks and funnels and batter operated pumps turbines and chambers, there were houses and highways and bridges and.buildings. it was like plastic and metal building supplies..
There were 1000’s of pieces and it was not the stuff for a train set or a race car set.. this was like a expanding city..

Building toys cases red metal???
Same home had building things we had to put back into their caes – cases red metal and again..can’t be the name I am thinking – or they really had twisted ideas as to what to call boy toys back then.. there was a robot – and in my childs eyes not small

Chemistry sets and I am pretty sure one was atomic energy.. the sandwich guy was on the book but could only use it with the foster father was around

Does anyone remember these things?

As a kid it was like a roll of the dice as to where and what I would be living with and what weird thing was next

A lot of people seem to have played with the same stuff
there are things listed I have no idea what they are

For me it was that the girls, were.. well girls. They made no sense, they screeched and
thought dolls pee, they wanted really babies and to get married.. Do children still do that?

so I played barbie dolls with the girls; dolls are kind of like action figures in a way.

Nooo.. action figures you don't blow up or cut open to see if they have the correct parts to pee with..

Not sure if your joking or not about the lesbian in a mans body.. I have known other males that say that jokingly
and males say I was more of a guy then they are..

Same thing happens with straight females, well with me at least. I really hate shopping, never been married and have no spawn. I have been called in for "a tour of duty' as a wingman, cockblocker and a fly on the wall in the ladies room. Women are suppose to have 3.7 kids if older and single and expect to have a ring in a couple months time, not have a sex drive, be against prostitution and ..have some weird attraction to silverbacks. I worked with prostitutes, I drove for a escort agency, have no weird attraction to silverbacks, a sex drive, no kids and no ring wanted.

Society sucks there is no doubt about that.

Any idea what it was called?
How big?
Pieces the size of records?

I was starting to think I was the last one alive that played with this kind of stuff. What were you soldering?
Pinching tubing for freon then using to break things?
Ever make anything with the cameras.. the ones with the flash, strobes zapies?

Ohh better yet, you must be around my age (pellet gun and sling ;) ) Does a building set that sounds like girdles and beans sound familiar? :oops:

Or Boom balls?

I never really played with toys, but I did enjoy drawing. Not sure if that counts...

I'm NOT joking. I think if I had a woman's body; I could realte to women a lot better than guys. People think I'm gay sometimes but I'm attracted to women & I am NOT attracted to guys so I'm NOT gay but I wish I could be cuz it would be a lot easier for me to find a partner if I was. Women who want partners like me are gay but I don't have a chance with em cuz I'm physically a guy :cry: The only people who are attracted to me are homosexual guys :x

I forgot to mention that I also liked TMNT action figures & I also liked collecting different things but I'm not not into that anymore. I got rid of all that years ago. Only stuff I still have are the legos & they've been picked up quite a long time

I was never really into toys, but I did have Lego sets, and Lincoln Logs. As a toddler, my favorite was a stuffed puppy with a music box mechanism inside. Honestly, I was only fascinated with the mechanism. By age 6 or 7, I was awqy from childrens' toys and intested in playing with things like clocks, radios, and technical things that I could take apart and put together, and figure out why they work and how they do what they do. By age 13, I had an after-school job at a TV repair shop and was learning electronics repair. From then on, TV sets were my toys...
