I have no face/avatar for here, as I have not come across one yet.
I do 'see' them as the members faces, and like any face, some I recognise, others I do not. When a member changes their face, I may not recognise them - I do not always 'see' their user name, unless it stands out to me, like their face.
I have many user-names depending on what type of site it is for.
My 'user-name' here is actually half of one I use. The other half I decided at the last second not to use, as I did not want people thinking that I had replaced a 'C' with a 'K', as that had happened at another site I use occassionally. For some, ignorance is bliss.
Sadly, without Kunti in the name, the meaning behind the 'user-name' does not hold the strength it should
Surya is a deity from Hinduism. Surya also has many names, but I am using the one from The Mahabharata.
The Mahabharata is a very old text, I am certain, if anyone was to take the time to read it and compare it to another younger text,
they may be coming intrigued.

Quote:
When she was young, the rishi Durvasa told her a mantra with which Kunti could summon any deva and have a child by him. When Kunti asked why he gave her this mantra, he told her that it would be useful to her later in life.
Kunti could not believe the mantra, so she tried to use it. The god Surya, appeared. She asked him to go back, but Surya said he was compelled to fulfill the mantra before returning. After birth of the child, Kunti abandoned the child in a basket in a river. This child was later found and adopted by a chariot driver and his wife, and was named Karna. He went on to become a central character in the Mahābhārata. The ambiguous emotions Karna felt about his birth mother play an important role in the Mahābhārata.

The heart relates to a place in my head that I seem to return to. It's a long field of sharp green grass bordered by deep pine forest, in the middle of which an anatomically correct heart hangs in mid air. I don't know why it's there, but I feel it's an important symbol.
That is beautiful, thank you for sharing your place.

I am using the folklore version of Kelpie, of the ghostly horse who drowns people in rivers and whatnot. Very interesting folklore, give it a read if you like.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KelpieI have wondered if that was the one your name came from.

My username is a nickname a friend of mine gave me in Middle School when we were inventing our own Sailor Scouts. I used the name for usernames ever since.
I thought it was a reference to the mirror... and that you had used an "a" instead of an "e"

shows the "deepest and most desperate desire of our hearts." The happiest person in the whole world would look in the mirror and see a reflection of exactly the way he or she is. Inscribed across the top of the frame is the following text:
Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi
Reversing the inscription and rearranging the spaces produces:
I show not your face but your heart's desire
