my lord.......i feel your pain....but seriously, if you're doing all those things, how do you have time for wp?

i will be cutting time on wp myself. i am now a full time care taker/giver. i also get too angry when i post on a subject that i know more about than 99.9% of other people on wp and am ignored, called a liar, have humans say things that are so wrong to be laughable but they are believed and i am not. if it was about politics, or movies, or books, or programming, or octomoms, or cars, or sex, etc. i wouldn't care at all. this is about caring for those lifeforms that cannot fight for themselves, what most of you call pets. what i call companion animals. it drives me batty to have to read the crap some morons write about their animals and i cannot stop them from doing the exact wrong thing. it's like seeing dog/fight films and wanting to kill everyone involved.

does anyone else feel this way when they write about a subject they know inside/out, upside/down? or maybe i'll be ignored here also.hahahahahahhahahhahahahahahahhahahhhaha.

MONKEY LORD....might i interest you in meditation/yoga. might calm you down a bit. there is a thing called: way too much crap going on.

I feel your pain, with regard to the animal stuff. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't witness some cruel idiocy, or worse, being imposed upon an innocent animal and I am isolated in my home. It sucks that people are that stupid and that cruel, but I guess they really are.

Im the same way about wp.

Every morning I check my email to check every post that I wrote and has a new comment. When Im done with this I usually expend another 10-20 minutes checking for new topics and then I try to log on every couple of hours to check new threads and so. As hyperlexian said its my current obssesion(I just spent 2 days without internet and I doubt I could have lasted much longer).

Im learning a lot of things from wrong planet and its an awesome place, however it can become addictive and you have to keep an eye on that(says the guy that spent full evenings 100 posts just so he reached 20 daily posts).

yes. a couple of narrow subjects regarding human rights i happen to understand really well because of both education and personal/family experience. but i can't seem to explain my nderstanding in a way that is in any way convincing to people, ever.

i also feel like people don't really want to understand, because understanding the issues and truly internalizing them means shining a bright light on the inner recesses of their own sketchy ethics. i really struggle with this because i know it is the right thing to educate people, but maybe i am not the best person for the job. i just piss people off.

i understand where you are coming from, completely. but my focus is people instead of animals.

On a completely unrelated note I just looked through your website and your signature finally made sense(sortof at least) and you have a great picture there.

to HYPERLEXIAN.....i think most of us on wp are ignorant of human rights issues. before my life was taken from me i was able to travel the world..6 continents....40 or so countries. on one trip to africa i was wandering around in ne area and ended up in chad/sudan (in the 80's, before the insanity started) and happened into a slave market.

of course, i was not aware of what was going on until my guide told me we needed to get out of the area. he was pulling on my arm and when i took out my camera to get some shots, he just about panicked.

we did leave right away and kept going. pretty lucky for us. i was the only foreigner there.

can you imagine a wrong planet in china or any country ruled by a dictator. no way.

keep fighting for what you believe in.

that's a really good point. it is likely because of our own institutionalized rights and freedoms that we have the leisure to contemplate ethics!

that is a heck of an amazing story about traveling to a slave market. it must be etched into your brain.

thanks for the support! i guess i can stop whining into my cheerios w/almond milk and remember that talking about this stuff is important beyond my own silly feelings and it is ultimately worth it to try to open up people's eyes. i've just been in a slump (ok, more like a snit, really).

what would oCD have to do with it?

You have nearly 19000 posts on here and you are asking me what OCD has to do with feeling like you need to check the forum all the time and post on it?

That's kinda funny and you prove my point.

Thanks!
