Unless it was my brother, I would remove my photos and resume posting under a new name, watching to avoid any revealing personal information.

The real me is personal and not something I care to fully share with just anyone. My family is gossipy and opinionated. They also think that they know me a lot better than they do, so they would make a big deal out of it to read all these things I say which they don't know about.

Is this directed at me?

My family knows I have AS and it's not about the real me, I just don't feel comfortable with them seeing what I write and plus I don't know how my parents react if they saw me saying they have AS traits or my little brother. I don't know how my cousin would react if she saw me calling her a drama queen. I think I have called her that on here. I don't know how my family would react if they saw me saying who could have AS in my family.

I wouldn't be too happy about it. This is where I can freely share my interests, while learning to talk about a variety of things, at the same time. However having said that, I think that my parents would feel guilty that they've hurt me over the past 30 years, from the time I was 5, until June the 27th.

I do NOT like the idea of my parents or family joining this place at all. They might would gain a better understanding of me but I discuss lots of stuff here that no one off line knows about. if they read some of my post; they might kick me out or have grounds to have me committed. I highly doubt they would be here unless I leave a page up & they need to get on my computer. My dad's not good with computer stuff & my mom's waaaay to busy with work & house-work to have time to use online forums. We haven't really talked about Aspergers stuff in a long time

Seeing that I haven't posted about anything they don't already know about (even the stuff I talk about in the Adult forum), it isn't an issue with me.

No one in my family would join here, I think.
There's a friend of a friend and a lady at my work who might know about this place, but I don't think they'd recognize me. I wouldn't mind seeing them here, but I wouldn't want them to know it was me.

I'd spend more time editing my posts than I would posting, to say the least.

I'm not okay with it, but I don't let my family see my Facebook page, either.

Honestly, I doubt any member of my family immediiate or indirect or here on WP since, only a handful of people in my family acknowledge the fact, I have AS therefore, there is no sense of concern relating to me.Still for peoiple whom have family members present on WP I suppose it can feel uneasy in some regards..

I think a lot of WPers were pretty upset about the facebook thing.

I wouldn't want my family or friends here. I wouldn't mind talking about AS with my family, but I don't outside my family and I often write things that I'd rather my relatives not read.

The only person in my family who might join is my aunt, who has an Aspie son. It would be weird having relatives here.
