I'm dead afraid of the dark, what are your phobias?

gee, that reminds me of when i was a surgical tech- when i was scrubbed-in on cases, i never could stand the sight of the scalpel slicing through the skin [or of hypodermic needles dimpling the skin 'around the shaft as it punches through the flesh], but once the incision was wide-open and retracted, i didn't mind the sight of the knife or needles doing any further nastiness. so that enables me to understand how one could be leery of trains tracks in the abstract but not afraid once one is on board the train zooming down those same tracks.

the reason the lions' share of flashlights "don't work," is that they emit merely a comparatively weak and narrow cone of light in just one direction, which leaves all the other directions unlit, along with all those spooks and goblins and boogymen and boogywomen who remain utterly protected in the murk, ever-ready to jump out and do who knows what evil things to some poor quavering clod with such a weak illuminating tool.

I'm afraid of sharks and sea monsters in dark swimming pools. :D

And dark, deep water in general for the same reason.

Emetophobia, fear of all minor illnesses in general (flu, cold, diarrhoea, things like that), moths and crane flies.

I was always afraid of butterflies but if i see one that big, than i can smell the fear.
When i was four years old there whas such a big butterfly sitting on the clock in the livingroom.
They are very beautiful creatures but i cant stand it when they fly (those wings/unpredictable)
