I've had a Twitter account for 1-2 years. I'm still not sure what Twitter is good for. FB is better for social networking with one's friends. I've started using Google+, which is good for pursuing hobbies. I've discovered lots of interesting memes and artwork through Pinterest and tumblr.

On Twitter, I follow a few dozen celebrities and scientists, who rarely post anything I find interesting, as well as a handful of magazines and organizations. Occasionally I discover an interesting Website and I bookmark it.

I use Twitter about 5 minutes a week.

The best thing that happened to me on Twitter is this: I "tweeted" to Alexis Wineman (recent Miss America contestant with mild autism) and she tweeted back. It was one of the few brushes with celebrity I've had in my life.

If you're on the fence, I recommend not bothering with Twitter.

I haven't done so much as type twitter.com into a web browser. I never saw a need to have one. The times I social network is on Facebook and that is not too frequently.

Though in recent time I have found that people use it to advertise items they are selling online, which is something I do as a secondary income. That is really the only reason I would ever make a Twitter account.

I have one. there are autistic and autism moms and dads, and asperger groups. You cant follow too many people a day because they'll terminate your account if you do. but i follow 17 people a day and no problem. some of them always follow you back, and in time you can have thousands.

i dont care much for celibrities. but get one, it's free. and life with asperger can be very interesting. tweet articles you like on the net.
