There was this one new member many moons ago (late 2006 I believe) who claimed to be a famous Hollywood stand-up comedian and actor. I couldn't exactly figure out who he was if he was indeed famous (Dan Ackroyd or Robin Williams were my guesses).

Also, Torley Wong is kinda famous, at least in the parts of the internet where I reside (Second Life) :P

What if the person from The Vines hung out here or Stephen Spielberg or Keanu Reeves (I also read he has AS too) or Daryl Hannah?

What if Johnny Depp hung out here? (though he doesn't have AS) or Jenny McCarthy?

My list of famous people who might have lurked here on WP would match the lists of well known people who are suspected to be on the "Spectrum." Those lists can be found on the Wikipedia entry on "Asperger's" and elsewhere on the web.

The only one I know for sure that visited WP (possibly only once) was R. Crumb, the most famous of the "underground" comix artists and subject of the documentary "Crumb." I don't have the link handy, but a local search would let you find it.

Oh, yes. thewrll goes without saying. That's why I didn't say so.

Personally, I am famous for my obscurity.

I was about to ask if the owner of that site is famous, but I finally figured out the humor of stretching the definition of "on topic." The lightbulb showed up when I saw the emoticon after your post. Interesting thread attached to your second link.

Leave it to me to be misinterpret an emoticon. But shouldn't it have been this one:  ?

No, this guy was newly diagnosed and had a biological son on the spectrum too. He had a really abusive childhood which appears to be left off his bio somehow (he hides it from the media and makes an elaborate story in it's place perhaps).

I read those posts!
What a thrill!

But I believe, from what I recall, that it was his woman, his wife who wrote here.
... He was touring in France at that time (a few years back) :)

 I HATE name-dropping. It really gets on my nerves.

I have a relative who does portrait photography for famous people.

"So-and-so was in my flat the other day" "I had lunch with so-and-so" "Have you heard my latest? Now I am good friends with So-and-So as well."

*yawn*

So what?

Well, it was her computer, but he did make a quick post using her account.
