I know for certain that tomorrow I'll be sorting donations of food from Trader Joe's for my roommates. Don't know why I forgot to mention that. Then there is also the matter of maybe taking a walk downtown to observe the college students on their graduation drinking binges - which might be a bad idea. Last time I was around drunk college students they said they were sorry for me that I don't like football, and threatened to kill a female friend of mine for liking the other team.

Maybe I'll just read that book I started today, Elminster in Myth Drannor by Ed Greenwood. Then perhaps after I finish that look at the prices for Temptation of Elminster.

Oh, and complain about the heat. Definitely complain about the heat. Still going to hope as well that logic prevails and that there aren't a bunch of naked idiots floating up to the sky tomorrow. Though that would be interesting to see.

... Not this again, what makes this day the " Rapture "? so called " end of the world " people has been calling for the end of the world for nearly 2000 years ago. Nothing happened, tomorrow wil come and past and nothing will happen as usual.
* sorry for the rant, this isn't the first time I heard doomsday theories before *

I thought they were 'bodily raised unto heaven...' I was looking foward to seeing them get through multiple concrete floors and then the roof... messy, surely?

Today is the day, 5:30 hrs to go - apparently 6pm local time wherever you are  I'll eat dinner and watch the skies...

peace j

As god is supposed to destroy the world sometime after this. This would be a perfect opportunity to make a preemptive nuclear strike against heaven. strap them to the raptured people as they float up.
But the world wont end so no floating nukes.

on a side note, the pastor who predicted this should realise that he would be left behind for breaking the deuteronomy passages against false prophets due to his earlier false prediction.

(I find most religions irritating)

Hold your horses. The rapture only applies to protostants. The catholics and mormons will still be around to us all.

On a more serious and "maybe" less sacreligious note, I believe that if God is a just God....he/she/it would expect us to figure a way out of this mess that we created....not rescue us from our mistakes tomorrow. The concept of the rapture was created (I am not sure of the exact date) somewhere in the 1800's I seen that on history channel. I find it very interesting that when I studied ABOUT a religion not IN a religion, how much the difference between the two starkly contradicts each other.

I used to study the bible several hours a day trying to understand life's unanswered questions, it was not until I studied history that it all made sense.

It's now after 4:00 in the morning in Europe, and so far there has been no news of mass disappearances of Christians ... or anyone else, for that matter.
