I really want one, but my mom would never allow such a large dog. We have 5 little dogs.

Tamaskan's are the perfect dog - friendly, energetic, smart, obedient. And they look like a wolf!
Little dogs are okay. I used to go on walks with a pack of four dogs. One of them was a great dog, but I couldn't exercise him too much because he was small and it would have been mean.
