If I'm like any of the female characters, I'm kind of embarrassed to say I relate to Lucy the most.
Mainly because she's got a real temper and I don't like dog germs any more than she does even though I know a dog's mouth really is not nearly the cess pool of germs a human's is.

It's kind of interesting that in the really early strips Lucy wasn't always the bossy and arrogant character she is now. She was a toddler with weird, googly eyes who wore sleepers and had a sweet, naive personality.

As much as I'd love to be self-deprecating and say "Pig Pen", I can't help but choose Linus. Sucking your thumb and quoting the Gospel, pretty much sums me up to a tee. :P

Just wondering, why is Charlie Brown always called by both his names every time he is mentioned. Why not just "Charlie"?

I guess because he is the star. sorta like why people say "john wayne" instead of just john.

I related a lot to Charlie Brown. I had a rough childhood & I felt things just didn't go my way & i also think holidays are very overrated. I relate to Lucy abit thou cuz I also had/have a bad crush obsession on someone I have no chance with cuz she's an actress singer who I never even met.

That's actually a fantastic question which I can't find the answer for. The only exceptions are Peppermint Patty (who calls him "Chuck"), Marcie (who calls him "Charles") and Sally (who calls him "Big Brother"). I also vividly remember a cartoon where someone called him "Brownie Charles".

The only clue I could find was that Charles Schulz originally wanted to call the strip "Gool Ol' Charlie Brown", but the newspaper syndicate called it "Peanuts" instead. The 'Peanuts' Wiki says that some readers initially mistook "Peanuts" to be Charlie Brown's name, so maybe using his full name was a clarification? Also, I think it just sounds better as a whole name as opposed to just "Charlie".
