That seems like such a long time a way....but now that i know about it i am excited.
The one that you are thinking of is the total solar eclipse predicted for 2024-04-08 (see: http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/S ... Apr08T.GIF ). The predicted path of totality runs across North America from about (present-day) Mazatlan, Sinaloa through Durango, Durango and Torreon, Coahuila (all in Mexico); Del Rio, TX; Dallas, TX; Poplar Bluff, MO; Carbondale, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Toledo, OH; Cleveland, OH and Buffalo, NY (all in the USA); Toronto, ON; Montreal, QC; Bathurst, NB and Gander, NF (all in Canada)
It crosses paths with the 2017-08-21 eclipse in southern Illinois (about in Carbondale).
Also, for those whom want to plan a little bit more ahead, one is predicted to cross right through central/southern Wisconsin. (see: http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/S ... Sep14T.GIF )

I've changed my Mind about Country Living. I'll be gliding between the buildings of London on a Routemaster Rocket Bus.
I think that would be a REALISTIC goal for me.
