Sounds like you enjoy a specific type of food a lot. :P Rice cakes are a great way to fill up.

I like 'plain' food. I like bagels on there own and dry toast. I dislike chocolate! 8O

Yeah, I like things plain too. Not toast though  You dislike chocolate? That's an odd preference! 8O

I get told that alot. :P

I also dislike chocolate. Mostly i am indifferent to it.

My comfort foods include mash potato and gravy
Roast
Ravioli
BBQ
Tofu, haloumi and cucumber sandwiches.

If it's a "bad day want to eat :( ", then mashed potato's & gravy, or lots of greasy chips. :P

Off to bed...that's how bad a day it has been. I'll take refuge in dreams.

But.....

Second time in a week I've been told about Tayto crisps. Where do you buy them? I have never heard of them.

It has gotta be french fries. I have been on a f.f. kick for a couple of months now. :)

Fair Shake at Shake Shack with caramel instead of vanilla. Hmm... Whenever I am depressed or mad, coffee + ice-cream is the solution.

I didn't have a proper photo of gammon and champ and anyway, don't pork scratchings count as meat now? ;)

Honestly, some people...

If you read carefully I was responding to MXH when I said "Is meat a comfort food?." He hasn't mentioned pork scratchings and might not have been referring to them.

DUH!! ! :P

My ultimate comfort foods may be shrimp cup noodles, or imitation crab. I LOVE that stuff. :P

My question was challenging the answer that he'd already given. Real meat isn't comfort food. If you're talking about processed meat then yes. But processed meat isn't really meat.. :P

There are quite a few foods I consider comfort food. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who enjoys mashed potatoes (the best is red skin-on mashed potatoes with garlic...mmmm). I also like potato and leek soup, especially from Amy's Kitchen. I make a "southwestern" rice and beans dish that I really like. I just recently made a batch this past weekend; I think it'd been 3 years or so since I've made it. Just about any kind of banana dessert would qualify, especially banana milk shakes.

You can't expect someone who has just had seven pints of beer to be reading carefully!

That's not a small oddity of a statement considering your username.
