Mine was 'precociousness'.

I think I've done this joke before on WP.

I'm not sure what it was really.

I only know my first word because I was born with a tied tongue.

Mine was "cheese." It was kind of ironic, actually, because at that point in my life I almost exclusively ate carrots. But I did like cheese, especially the way the word sounded.

What happened to it? Did you untie it? o_0 My tongue is tied, but I don't want to get it cut. My high school chorus teacher told me when his tied tongue was cut, it hurt for an inordinately long time afterward and not only did it not help his speech, but it gave him a stutter (which he still has).

My tongue was tied all the way to the tip. I couldn't eat or talk much so when I was 1 it was cut.

My first word was "car." (or, well, the Dutch version of it, which is "auto")

"Bridgy" at age two. Bridgy was the nickname for our dog Bridget.

I'm the only child in the house who's first word wasn't mama.

I do not remember mine (and not gonna ask my mom). But my daughter's first word was "mama", and the second was "papa", the same day! She is just so polite... She had just turned 2.

"walrus"

I mentioned this in another post. But now thinking about it more.......

I wonder who the heck would even put that in a children's alphabet book?
An aspie children's book publisher? Still wish I had the book. 8)
