It's Steve who changed the world
Nowhere near the extent that Apple fanboys are claiming. Apple produce extremely good-looking hardware with average to good performance, and most of it is very tightly locked down and controlled by Apple - that's all.
Steve Jobs wasn't the second coming, fer chrissakes...

isn't it human to cry when someone like that dies?
I have no idea. I didn't cry, and neither did many other people posting here - does that make us inhuman?
@Freak-Z: I think some of us are simply able to draw lines between marketing hype, good products vs. sexy design, and an over-inflated causal reputation and if some of these comments seem mean-spirited to you then I would suggest that to some degree, you cannot.
"I never cried but I was still pretty upset, mostly because I am a huge Pixar fan." Sorry, but this makes no sense to me. Steve Jobs wasn't involved with Pixar's (excellent) output - he simply bought the company.
It might make more sense if he was their chief animation consultant or was responsible for the software in use - which was, the last time I checked, all Linux-based.
I do not and probably never will understand this odd need some people seem to have of posting maudlin, gushing statements about
a person they have not met - because it means they have an image of that person and/or company which a PR department worked to instill.
In other words; a fantasy designed to help sell the products.
