I'm not sure if celebrity is the right word to describe him, but I'll be sad when Wayne Gretzky dies. He was my childhood hero.

Dear Henbane, I agree with your comment regarding George Harrison, and I would like to share the same, regarding Dusty Springfield and Michael Jackson and Clarence Clemons. Gotcha! Sylkat

What I'm really dreading is when John Lennon goes. I may have to break into the kleenex.

Must have been Ray Charles.

I would say Clint Eastwood for my Father's sake. I really don't get that involved in the whole celebrity worship thing.

I will be absolutely devastated when Tim Burton, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter die. The movies they have made - both together and separately - have brought such an immeasurable amount of joy to my life that losing them will be like losing my closest friends in the world.

I will also be saddened by the deaths of Crispin Glover, Anne Hathaway and especially Mia Wasikowska, mostly due to their roles in Burton's Alice in Wonderland (though they have also made great movies individually).

True that.

I will be torn asunder when we lose Joey Ramone and Joe Strummer as well...

God help us when Ian Curtis goes. Much wailing and gnashing of teeth will ensue.
