i'm of "a certain age" old enough to have watched TOS on its original run on NBC. i remember it well because our family had just got our first setchell-carlson console color tv set, and the color palette on those old color sets tended towards garish and quasi-fluorescent on the greens and yellows and reds, and from my vantage point sitting inside the big carton the tv set came in, star trek looked so colorful, more colorful than life.

Haven't you heard? 39's the new 40. No one has traumas on their 0 birthdays anymore--it's always the 9's. By the time the odometer rolls over, you've gotten used to the idea!

I was a Centennial Project (tm). For non-Canadians, that means I was born in '67. I am told that I enjoyed Expo '67 in very short doses.
