We shut all curtains and turn off all lights and pretend we are not in.
If they keep on at us they say "trick or treat?" in that stupid voice and we say "piss off" to them.
In the UK we just import anything America have.
I hear kids hear in UK say "Candy." We don't have to copy America full in full out. We are even copying to be overweight.
No offense American users, but if any taken my fullest apologys.
I know what you mean. I heard someone call it a movie at school. I promptly asked them if they'd been watching american shows.
Them: Yeh...why?
Me: 'Cos you just said movie.

If you mean fireworks, then nope, they're for bonfire night.
Crackers are the ones that go "BANG!" and nothing more.

I love Halloween. I used to go all out for it, buying orange and black candles, pumpkins and stuff. Now I use it to celebrate Beltane, because I like the idea of honoring the dead. It must be the inner kid who still gets a big kick out of lit up pumpkins and candy corn
