My signature is from the movie Animal House, toward the beginning of the movie. It was when Dean Wormer was listing all the atrocities that the Deltas had committed.

Litigious, I noticed, currently has as his signature, the poetry of "gentleman outlaw" Black Bart. I knew I had read it before, and I knew it was an outlaw.

Yes, he's one of my great idols. A very impressive and fascinating character. He was a decorated lieutenant of honour in the civil war but after retiring from the army, seeking his fortune as a gold digger in Montana, had a chism with some people at the Wells Fargo and thus became a stage robber. He swore that he would "pay back on them", which he did. If you go one step ahead from being litigious, you will become an outlaw. 8)

You prefer the movie or the comic? I found that the comic grew on me...

Actually, that was a quote from Faust, as the movie makes clear (and the comic alludes to. "No-one you ever heard of. A german gentleman called John Faust. He made a deal too")

Haven't read the comic. I've been eagerly trying to buy the hardcover GN :). Maybe I'll buy the Sin City set too.

Mine puts my own little spin on a well-known TV phrase.

If all of you Australians have heard of Shawn Cosgrove, I am paying homage to him.

They had probably done far more than that. It's one of my favorite movies.

Mine is somewhat layered.

First, I make a lot of confusing posts. So it stands to reason that sometimes people would not understand them. And often they do not.

Second, it is self referentional. When one looks at the signature, they probably aren't going to know what it means. Hence what they don't get is the signature.
