My bunny Cinnibun died about 6 months ago. His teeth kept on growing, and they wouldn't stop despite the amount of chew toys and stuff he had 
It was super painful, he couldn't eat or chew anymore, and I feel so guilty that he had to live through even a moment of that pain. We did give him to a friend for the last few months of his life, so while I'm not directly responsible, I feel like if I had cared for him, I would have noticed quicker and made him have less pain. He did laughing gas though, so he at least got to laugh when he was put down
