People swimming causes ice-cream sales, as more ice cream is sold on days when more people are swimming.


More people would be swimming on hot days one would think. People tend to swim more on hot days.

People are sheep. If you can make it sound convincing enough, you can get a following. Whether or not you can maintain that following is another matter, but your point is valid.
