No.
Fair enough. I just thought that since you are an active member at PPR and members there are encouraged to do their research before making a conclusion I´d help you out a little. Feel free to have a misconception on what MLP for as long as you want.

I've seen MLP and several of its related websites already - enough to know that as originally conceived, MLP was for kids. Also enough to know that adolescents and adults will twist anything into the most bizarre form while maintaining that it is still true to the original.

No thank you.

As you clearly state it was for kids.

That series that was for kids was taken off air several ages ago due to lack of an audience

A few years ago they did a reboot with characters that have little/nothing to do with previous series of MLP and lauren faust did an amazing artwork considered to be brilliant by quite a few anime/manga followers and its when it stopped being a kids show(right now theyve done homeages to sondheim/weezer/ star wars...)

You are talking about a previous show that is no longer on air and Im talking about the current series. Both things have very little in common

Not singling you out.

If that post about My Little being for kids was made by:
-alex
-cornflake
-hyperlexian
-anyone else

They would have gotten the same response from me.

Not trying to be harsh with you but I feel the need to point out that your views on this issue seem to be stuck in the past

Unless I have violated the rules on this, I most respectfully request that you get off my back about it.

So, um, has any besides CockneyRebel and me actually read Bubbles? I posted it here to discuss the controversial subject matter inside of it that I'm sure we can all relate to, not whether or not My Little Pony is for kids.

Overall I feel I need an enigma machine to get the full context of this piece.

I had to reread it after I read it the first to figure out what was happening. In case you still need help understanding what was going on here is a summary:

SPOILERS

Derpy is a disabled girl whose mother suffers from depression. Her father loves her, but he doesn't come home until evening and her mother does not like her so much, though Derpy does not realize this and still loves her mom. Derpy stays at home all day because she was removed from the schooling system. Eventually Derpy's mother decides to kill her by feeding her poisoned muffins. However, her father manages to save her by bringing her to the hospital where she receives medical treatment. Only the father visits her in the hospital. The mother and the father then get into a fight, but somehow things work out and they do something together. Derpy's mother then takes Derpy into the woods in the middle of the night, and by the time they arrive it's morning. She then gives Derpy a bubble wand with bubbles and abandons her. The story ends with night falling.

If you want to assume this is accord with MLP canon the ending is happier, Derpy gets her cutie mark from playing with the bubbles, and somehow survives to adulthood.

It's good. I like fics that are simple to read and don't overload the reader, it's very important to me in a fic.

Its good. Its simple and the style is quite similar to the one at MLP.
