I can definitely see traits that i get from both of them but my mum and dad are absolute opposites. I've always been more like my mum, my brother is loud like my dad and im quiet like my mum.

Personality-wise, I'm more like my mom. I think she had the dominant genes when she conceived me. I inherited my mom's moodiness, her mood swings, her shyness, not to mention the fact that I'm pretty sure her side of the family carried the autistic gene that caused my A.S.

That's not to say that I didn't inherit anything from my dad. I'm pretty sure I got my O.C.D. and A.D.D. from my dad.

I look like my mom but apart from that I am so much like my dad. My dad and I can spend the entire day together without speaking in complete sentences. Our facial expressions are the same, my mom has to jump him from behind and tie him up if she wants to get as much as a hug. My dad never expresses emotions verbally (he buys flowers instead) and he would never ever engage in small talk with random people he met in the shop or on the street. My grandpa (my dad's dad) is just the same. The three of us drive my mom insane sometimes :D

My mother and I are much closer to each other than my father and I. I used to think it was because our personalities were alike, but, in fact, it is precisely the opposite. My mother and I get along so well together because I am like my father. It stands to reason--she has been getting along with the man for the last 56 years.

I am very much like my dad and I'm guessing that if he were to be tested he'd also be on the spectrum somewhere. We're both introverts. My mother has complained for years about my dad's dislike of chatting and small talk, and his issues with "going out." We both like to be social but in our own ways. He has intense interests like reading and woodworking that he can do for entire days with little acknowledgement of the outside world. He and I are so much alike and yet because of our personalities it's hard for us to be close.

Neither, maybe that's why they never liked me much.

I am much more like my mother in terms of personality. Though I am much smarter than her. But in her defense, she had meningitis when she was a child and it apparently left her with diminished capacities(among other things).

I'm much closer to my dad's personality, but I had more influence from my mother growing up. Is this rare?

I'm closer to my mom, than my dad.

My mom is just weird, though. She has an obsession over feeding ducks, and spends lots of money on bulk duck-feed. When she lived near me, I'd go with her to this river near where she lived and feed "her ducks" with her. She named every single one of them, including this really ugly Muscovy pair that were her favorites. There was a swan and a number of white ducks, but mostly mallards.

Whenever random people would approach and try to feed the ducks bread, she would scold them and lecture them about how bad bread is for duck digestion.

Yep, that's a lot like how I am.

Neither! Maybe I was adopted but I doubt that.

I share a lot of personality traits with my dad, but of course I have a ton of them that I developed on my own.

Similarities:
On the lazy side
Dislikes Immaturity
Not really attracted to feminine things
Not really attracted to feminine people
Very careful
Getting facts straight before discussing a topic

Differences:
I actually care about other people's feelings (Though sometimes I don't really show it)
I take the time to get a handle on the situation (My dad just leaves it alone)
I'm not lazy (My dad is. I know I said I liked to be lazy, but I get stuff done when they need to be done)
I don't have a false sense of authority

So, yeah. There you have it.

I'm more like my dad. I have Dyslexia, ADD & Aspergers; my dad has Dyslexia, ADD & Obsessive Compulsive Personality. We have a lot of differences but my personality is more like him than anyone else in my family that I know well.
