Really? I have some polish kinda that color. It's my favorite because it's different, but not too loud/weird for work. Whenever I use red nail polish, it feels like my hands belong to someone else.

I's that the one with the moon shape at the bottom that's a different color? I think I saw Dita Von Teese with a black and white one of those.

Ok, this is new to me.

"Rubber Hits the Road

British beauty brand Illamasqua just did something we thought was impossible: They have created an utterly new type of nail polish. Their just-out rubber-finish formula is pretty much what its name implies. The varnish—available in a range of ten snappy hues—goes on a tad gelatinous and sets into a tough, matte-jelly finish. This polish is sure to add a jaunty bounce to your texting fingers.

SHOP NOW: Illamasqua Rubber Nail Varnish, $14"

What do you think? Personally, I'm intrigued.

I just got the "Life Preserver" shade and I love it! I also got a sheer coppery shade called "Macchiato", a grey shade (no name) and a grey-blue (no name). I got both grey shades in mini bottles.

Back when I was in the goth and rivethead scene, I would paint my nails black, silver with black circuit-board design, black with neon green circuit-board designs (or an inversion of the colors) or in woodlands camouflage. Nothing too feminine, since afterall, I am a male. It still didn't change the fact that some people thought that made me homosexual. To me, my nails were a mini-canvas, just like the rest of my body and anything I could get my hands on.

I don't think I could ever go all the way to black. I have done deep purple, deep chocolate brown, and deep navy. I must say I do love my reds. The deeper the better. Just not creepy blood red.

Deep purples and navies are wonderful too
Maybe I should give it a try with deep red tones
Any recommendations? :)

Yes that's the kind of thing I meant. You can also just leave the moon bare, apparently that's how they did it originally. And sometimes had the end clear aswell although I'm not sure about that look myself.
I couldn't find anything about that rubber polish when I just looked, it sounds strange though!

Oh, I'm in the wrong country for that sale unfortunately otherwise I would have been tempted.

Sorry for two posts; I was having a bit of trouble with quoting, you'd think I would be able to do multiple quotes by now really.

I used to wear nail polish in my teens. If I was to wear it nowadays it wouldn't even last a few days. Plus my nails are never long enough (polish looks better on long nails).

This is my go-to red right now. It's called unbreakable heart. Two coats. It's like a really deep ruby.
It also matches my car. 8)

Ah don't worry as shipping would probably negate any discount. Thankyou for that very kind offer though. :D I'll carry on looking on ebay for cheap ones. :P
