I see nothing wrong with identifying as "so-and-so's mum / mom / whatever" as long as so-and-so doesn't mind.

My mom has no clue what the internet is, or what a message board is, or email or even what Aspergers is. All she knows is a computer is this square thing that plugs into the wall. So if someone signs up as mom_of_ticker you will know its a fraudster.

I just saw a repeating pattern on autism/disorder sites where i saw this <name>smum thing going on. And when I see patterns it sparkles my imagination.

If my mum joined, I'd make sure she isn't called 'RedMages_Mum' or something.
