Where I live now, parts of North Yorkshire or the Isle of Man sound great.

Maybe a little further south.

Right here in Santa Maria, CA. I have seen other places and didn't particularly like them.

Montana is very affordable. I almost went to the University of Montana, but I chickened out at the last minute.

I don't know about Michigan, but as far as the other states go, are you prepared for a big cost of living increase?

Wherever you choose to live, I wish you the best of luck.

Tim

Denmark is a very peaceful and beautiful place. My family from my mom's side mostly live in Odense (my uncle recently moved to Copenhagen). My mom owns a small beach house in Kertiminde. You should visit Denmark sometime.

I'm not all that far from Denmark, living in the UK. Are they a Protestant 'beer, meat and potatoes' country? If so, I'd probably quite like it there.

I don't know what that means, but my Grandma always made me eat her potatoes she made. But my family's Atheist. That doesn't answer your question, does it?

Not quite. The Protestantism doesn't bother me just as long as they don't eat rubbish like they do in Poland. If they have some decent meat and potatoes on then that's good enough for a man like me.
